'Making Connections to Everyday Learning' |

This workshop would show teachers how to start with their agriscience standards and work backwards to make connections between those standards and the state standards by focusing on one subject at a time. Then expand from there to the vast array of resources available for them to use to keep students engaged with STEM activities that connect reading and writing. | Biosketch: | I have been an elementary school teacher for 15 years. I have taught grades 3-6 and currently teach 5th grade. I have thoroughly enjoyed adding agriscience to our standards and helping students make connections and add depth to their learning. |
