Biography: Dr. David Mouser is an educational leader with a relentless interest in issues of improving opportunities for every student to excel. He has been the recipient of numerous state and national educational awards. As superintendent of Tri-Valley High School in Downs (IL), Dr. Mouser models innovative leadership with a laser-sharp focus on improving teaching and learning - for every student. He has success providing perspective on the lasting IMPACT that we all can make on students and each other. His message incorporates personal experience, good and bad, to encourage us to become better educators. Attendees will walk away with a more positive outlook on their importance in the classroom.

Dr. David Mouser grew up on a grain farm in Normal, Illinois. He graduated from Normal Community High School. David is a graduate of the University of Illinois with bachelors and masters degrees in education. He also holds an advanced certification in Educational Administration from Illinois State and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Western Illinois University. He is married to Amie. They have two children, Morgan and Brady.

As an educator, David was responsible for turning around an agriculture program with only 25 students in 1997 to a program with over 165 students only a year later. The FFA chapter ranked among the best in Illinois and the United States. He continually had students that succeeded locally and at the state level in various contests and activities. David was named the McLean County High School Teacher of the Year in 2001. He was named to the top 20 under 40 by the Bloomington, Illinois Pantagraph in 2010. He currently serves as the Superintendent at Tri-Valley CUSD #3 in Downs, Illinois. Prior to that, he was the High School Principal at Tri-Valley High School. A year after his arrival, Tri-Valley High School was named a Chicago Sun Times top 50 high school in Illinois. In 2010, Tri-Valley High School was awarded the National Blue Ribbon Award as one of the top high schools in the Nation.

David has had a long history in speaking and consulting by being State FFA President in 1993-94 and participating in various speaking contests. He won state and national competitions. Since that time, he has spoken to thousands of people from different groups and organizations that include adults and students. David has provided keynote addresses and workshops to agricultural organizations, business groups, educational organizations, teachers, and schools throughout the Midwest.

David's messages focus on education, leadership, motivation, and the importance of finding purpose through impacting others in a positive way.
