ABSTRACT INFORMATION
'True Beef: PBL Brings Agriculture and Culinary Arts Together'

Discover how beef goes from pasture to plate with True Beef, a documentary developed by a culinary instructor in the Texas public school district and his students. They planned, filmed and produced the film as part of a project-based learning experience, visiting farmers, ranchers, meat purveyors and restauranteurs. In this workshop participants will get a sneak peek at the documentary, explore hands on supporting resources, and leave with a strategic plan for using Project Based Learning to bring agriculture into the classroom.
