ABSTRACT INFORMATION
'The Love of Cows and other Joys in Agriculture'

Participants will experience how using AITC lessons to teach the differences between beef and dairy cattle can lead to rich experiences in the arts and science.Using technology to welcome guests with music by The Peterson Farm Bros and other ag parodies. We will review several AITC lessons, then each participant will complete a guided painting of a cow. We will finish with examples of student work taking the lesson into thinking maps, poetry writing, and opinion papers.

Biosketch: Kathleen Kendall Walker, NBCT currently teachers PreK through 6th-grade art in Tulsa, Oklahoma and spends summers cutting hay in Montana. She integrates all subject matter into art lessons and art into all subjects.She loves all things agricultural, but especially cows.
