ABSTRACT INFORMATION
'From Fact to Fiction'

Apples as super-heroes? A carrot visiting the Statue of Liberty? Participants will experience how to use Agricultural Fact and Activity Sheets to launch creative writing projects. Each year, California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom holds an Imagine this… Story Writing Contest open to students in grades 3 through 8. Come learn how to use informational text to create an exciting narrative. Be inspired to start your own contest!

Biosketch: Judy Culbertson, Executive Director of California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, grew up on a fifth generation pear orchard in Courtland, a small town just outside of Sacramento. Judy attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business. Judy has been with Ag in the Classroom for more than 30 years and strives to teach California students and teachers where their food and fiber comes from.
