'School Garden to Table' |

Take part in an interactive session hosted by Florida Agriculture in the Classroom that goes straight from the garden to the table. First, participate in a “Square Foot Salsa Garden Lesson” as participates learn how to properly space and grow components of salsa. Next, learn the science behind cooking as we prepare blender salsa and other delicious treats from the garden! Each participant will leave with a copy of Florida Agriculture in the Classroom’s book Gardening For Grades, the Salsa Garden lesson plan and his or her taste buds singing! | Biosketch: | Tracee Schiebel joined Florida Agriculture in the Classroom at their Education Program Manager in June 2017. Tracee has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management from State University of New York at Cobleskill and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Education and Communication from the University of Florida. Before joining FAITC, Tracee was a HungerU member, traveling the country educating students about agricultural solutions to hunger, as well as substitute teaching when not traveling. Before attending college Tracee was a New York FFA state officer. |

| Biosketch: | Becky Sponholtz is the Executive Director of Florida Agriculture in the Classroom, Inc., a post she has held since February 2017. Before that, she served as FAITC's Education Program Manager. Before that, she was a middle and high school agri-science instructor and FFA advisor for nine years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and her Master of Agriculture from Auburn University. She is married to Corbin Sponholtz and has a son, Landon and daughter, Chandlee. |
