ABSTRACT INFORMATION
'Looking Under the Label'

What is the link between the farmer and the consumer in the farm-to-table continuum? A food label! A visit to the grocery store immerses consumers in foods labeled as organic, non-GMO, grass-fed, free range, natural, and more. What do these labels mean? How do they impact consumer choices? Discover teaching strategies and lesson plans from the National Agricultural Literacy Curriculum Matrix to increase critical thinking skills and food label literacy.
