'A Tale of Two Burgers: Beef and Plant-based Protein ' |
|
---|---|
Plant-based protein is on the rise and alternative burgers are flooding fast-food menus. As more and more meatless alternatives become available, consumers may be faced with various questions and concerns. Are plant-based burgers a healthier alternative? What are the impacts of eating traditional beef burgers vs. plant-based burgers? This workshop will walk participants through new secondary lessons available on the National Agricultural Literacy Matrix. Workshop attendees will compare the components of beef and plant-based meat products; consider the ingredients and nutritional differences; and evaluate the economic, social, political, and environmental impacts of each product. Workshop Session (all workshops will be 60 minutes) | |
