ABSTRACT INFORMATION
'Festivals and Introduction Activities; Design Your Own!'

Are you confident in making new activities to start a lesson or to use at a family festival? This session will teach about corn production through a lesson and activity demonstration, then will lead you through the process of creating your own activity. Teachers, volunteers, and other staff will be able to collaborate, discuss, and weigh their own goals to create the perfect activity. Get some new ideas and come up with your own at this interactive session!

Biosketch: Chrissy Rhodes is the Education Programs Coordinator for the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation. In her role, Chrissy helps develop resources, programs, training opportunities, and support for teachers and volunteers working to implement Agriculture in the Classroom in their communities. Before starting with IALF, Chrissy graduated from Iowa State University with a major in journalism and mass communications, and minors in agronomy and animal science.
