ABSTRACT INFORMATION
'Taste and Teach: One Fruit and Vegetable at a Time!'

Your classroom is about to get tastier! Taste tests in the classroom introduce students to wholesome produce and provide memorable learning experiences that will help them make improved food choices for the rest of their lives. Participants will receive samples of helpful resources for classroom extensions, including instructions on how to lead students in taste tests while meeting content Standards. Presentation will also include tools on how to partner with stores. This workshop will build off of the Taste and Teach Program in California where 450 teachers throughout the state are awarded $100 gift cards from grocery stores to purchase fruits/vegetables monthly.
