ABSTRACT INFORMATION
'Where Your Food Grows'

You may have wondered where your food comes from, but have you ever wondered where McDonald’s gets their food from? Through this presentation, learners will identify the different types of farms and ranches that produce McDonald’s menu items while appreciating the role of farms and ranches in overall food production. Given several McDonald’s menu items, learners will sort basic ingredients by the type of farm or ranch that produced them. This lesson will help students learn that all of McDonald’s menu items are sourced from farms and ranches throughout the United States. This model could also be used with other local restaurants.

Mini-Workshop Session (activity should be easily demonstrated in 20 minutes and will be repeated 3 times on Friday)
