Peggy Thomas Children's Book Writer and Speaker 716-735-7196 pegtwrite@aol.com Peggy Thomas has been researching and writing award-winning children’s nonfiction for more than 20 years. With a background in anthropology her titles span a wide range of topics from science and history. Her most recent book, Thomas Jefferson Grows a Nation (Fall 2015), continues the story of early American agriculture that Farmer George Plants a Nation started. Co-author of Anatomy of Nonfiction, the only writing guide that dissects the art, craft and business of telling true stories to children, Thomas celebrates all things nonfiction and is a frequent speaker at schools, libraries, and conferences. Her research has taken her deep into dusty archives, down the Peruvian Amazon, and most recently to Thailand to study elephants -- whatever it takes to connect young readers to the world around them.
