Join Nancy in demonstrations and activities using the non-fiction book; Water: sources, uses and conservation. She will use this book to help teachers show students the importance of water in their everyday lives. This session will demonstrate the amount of water on, in and above the Earth. She will show states of water, the hydrologic or water cycle,and watersheds. She will provide information on how the agriculture industry uses water to raise and grow the student's food and fiber. The information will help students with the important job of deciding about water use in the future. Workshop Session (all workshops will be one hour) | |

Nancy Carlson Northwest Arm Press 970-640-1163 ncarlsonag.ed@gmail.com Nancy is a strong Ag in the Classroom advocate. She is a retired classroom teacher with 33 years of teaching experience, including being an ag in the classroom teacher herself. She taught K-12 in Special Education and Regular Education classrooms. She has a MA in Special Education and a BA in Elementary Education. She is the Youth Development Working Group Manager for the American National CattleWomen., and the Education chair for Colorado CattleWomen. She also is a local, state and national member of the FFA Alumni supporting Ag Advisors in their work with today's youth. Nancy grew up in Colorado on cattle ranches and after retiring has gone back to working with her father raising a small beef cattle herd. |
