Teaching students to choose healthy foods to fill the protein slot on the My Plate, USDA poster. The presentation will include meat and nonmeat sources for protein. Nancy Carlson Northwest Arm Press 970-640-1163 ncarlsonag.ed@gmail.com Nancy is a strong Ag in the Classroom advocate. She is a retired classroom teacher with 33 years of teaching experience, including being an ag in the classroom teacher herself. She taught K-12 in Special Education and Regular Education classrooms. She has a MA in Special Education and a BA in Elementary Education. She is the Youth Development Working Group Manager for the American National CattleWomen., and the Education chair for Colorado CattleWomen. She also is a local, state and national member of the FFA Alumni supporting Ag Advisors in their work with today's youth. Nancy grew up in Colorado on cattle ranches and after retiring has gone back to working with her father raising a small beef cattle herd. |
