'Dive On In: America's Food Waste' |
|
---|---|
Dumpster diving may not be a competitive sport, but it can demonstrate the broken food system in the United States. Using clips from the movie "Dive," as well as starting facts about food waste, this presentation will dive into how agriculture literacy can and should tie in to all parts of the food system, from on farm production to pre and post consumer waste.
1 in 6 people in the U.S. struggle with hunger, and yet the U.S. food waste facts are startling. Let's start a conversation about strengthening the food system, from the farm to (everyone's) fork. Workshop Session (all workshops will be one hour) | |
