'Feeding 9 Billion' |
|
---|---|
The task of feeding a growing population, using today's techniques and with today's limited resources will require nothing less than a miracle. We must increase production on decreasing available land, using tomorrow's techniques... and time is of the essence. Classrooms are full of students looking for a challenge and we have the biggest one of our time. We can scare them into inaction, or inspire them into finding solutions to world hunger.
Since the time of Thomas Malthus's "An Essay on the Principle of Population" agriculturist have been providing daily provisions through application of science and economics. Bon appetit! Workshop Session (all workshops will be one hour) | |
