Ready to take your classroom PRIME time? Come experience this new approach to science and math incorporating beef quality appraising. While teachings all about "Prime, Choice, and Select", this hands-on program gets earners engaged and discovering. Participants of the class will receive example materials in order to replicate the program in their own classrooms, as well as a demonstration lesson. Data from multiple classrooms currently using the materials will be presented along with potential variations to reach diverse audiences. While you may not end up on TV, this class will help take your lesson plans to a "prime grade". Workshop Session (all workshops will be one hour) | |

Laurie Rice Oregon State University Extension - Lake County 541-947-6054 laurie.rice@oregonstate.edu Laurie Rice has been with Extension Service since 2002 working as a 4-H Program Assistant. She is currently working toward a Masters of Education and an Oregon Teaching Credential. Her primary responsibility is school enrichment where she partners with classroom teachers to teach science and math through agriculture. |
Karissa Dishon OSU Extension Service - Lane County 541-639-2802 Karissa.Dishon@oregonstate.edu Karissa Dishon has been with Extension Service and Oregon State University since 2010. She is currently working toward a Masters in Business Administration majoring in Marketing. After moving to a county recently devastated by a financial crisis and removal, building school and community partnerships became a top priority. The development and implementation of new classroom lessons became the tool with which to engage students, teachers, and community partners. |
Jon Gandy OSU Extension Service - Jefferson County 541-475-3808 Jon.Gandy@oregonstate.edu Jon Gandy has been with Extension Service since 2010 working as the Jefferson County 4-H Coordinator. He received his General Agriculture degree with an emphasis in Animal Science. Through a partnership with the Jefferson County School District he provides activities that brings awareness to science and agriculture. |
