This session will provide an introduction to food allergies, with an emphasis on the 8 most common allergens - milk, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, wheat, and soy. As food allergies become a more common issue in schools and universities, it is essential that educators in all areas understand the basics about food allergies, including prevalence, identifying a reaction, and food allergy management.
