Karen King Indiana (Clark County) Farm Bureau 812-786-1520 ksdlking@sbcglobal.net I am a retired elementary teacher and principal, wife, mother of two, grandmother of six, and a very active volunteer. Since retiring, I have been involved with Ag in the Classroom and have enjoyed it so much because I can continue my involvement with education and children. I schedule the topics for the year, changing each month. I usually present 60-70 programs a year. I was a hands-on teacher that allowed students to experience cooking, experiments, and variety of learning opportunities in their school days. I have volunteered with Ronald McDonald House in Louisville, Saint Catherine Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Communities in Schools 3,2,1 Read Program, and Clark County Ag Day where we invite all third grade students from Clark County (about 1200-1500 students) each year. I was honored to be selected as the 2016 Indiana Farm Bureau Volunteer of the Year. |
