'Apples, and Carrots, and Honey - OH MY!'

Discover how Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom was able to use funds from a USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant to develop engaging videos, teacher tours, and a 10-lesson booklet. Attendees will gain hands-on experience with the specialty crop themed curricular resources that focus on standards-based connections in science, social studies and health. These activities will serve as a starting point for participants to brainstorm strategies for utilizing fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey, maple syrup and other interesting specialty crops for contextualizing learning.
