| Biosketch: | Laura Vollmer serves as an Education Specialist for Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom. As an Education Specialist, Laura helps provide educational resources, training and support related to agriculture for classroom teachers throughout the state. Through this training and support, Ag in the Classroom strives to increase school children’s understanding of their food and fiber system. Laura has been with Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom since January 2012. Prior to her work with Illinois AITC, she taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and fourth Grade. Laura graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She and her husband, Dan, reside in Congerville, Illinois with their twin daughters, Addison and Natalie. |
