ABSTRACT INFORMATION
'Stirring up Agriculture'

"Stir Up Agriculture" adds agriculture content into the subject areas of Math, Science, Social Studies and ELA. Measurement concepts are used while planting vegetables in our outside garden area. We measure spacing, size of vegetables, and quantity harvested. Social Studies helps students to better understand where our Creole and Cajun roots began. We also learn to make file', grind wheat, and comb cotton. With all the sugar cane fields, we are surely going to try sugar cane! Can we help you stir up Agriculture in your classroom?

Mini-Workshop Session (activity should be easily demonstrated in 25 minutes and will be repeated 4 times on Friday)
