Abstract Details
'Agriculture on the Sports Field' |
|
---|---|
Football, baseball, soccer and golf involve agriculture to keep the playing surface safe and easy to play. Usually, you don’t think about the science and work that goes into the upkeep of fields. If you or your students play sports you know that the surface of the playing field can be a huge factor in the ability to perform well. Come experience lesson activities that highlight agriculture on the sports field and non-traditional agriculture careers in sports. We will investigate the soil and plant science concepts that are applied on the field and analyze case studies of sports field issues. Either a workshop or mini-workshop session | |
