ABSTRACT INFORMATION
'Festivals and Introduction Activities; Tips, Tricks, and Best Practices'

“Make and Take” activities have been favorites at festivals and fairs for a long time, but how do you incorporate genuine agricultural learning in these fun, two-minute activities? This workshop will walk you through some best practices for activities for festivals or fairs, all of which will translate well into introduction activities for the start of a lesson. Learn more about how to coordinate your efforts, plan ahead, and always be the favorite stop at the event!

Biosketch: Chrissy Rhodes is the Education Programs Coordinator for the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation. In her role, Chrissy helps develop resources, programs, training opportunities, and support for teachers and volunteers working to implement Agriculture in the Classroom in their communities. Before starting with IALF, Chrissy graduated from Iowa State University with a major in journalism and mass communications, and minors in agronomy and animal science.
