Compete to determine if the main commodities grown in the state you represent meet the nutritional needs of the average student. One state from each of the four regions of the U.S. will be selected, and participants will be placed on one of four teams. Team members will be given facts about the top crops grown in their state, and the average daily nutritional contribution of those commodities. The team that comes closest to providing a balanced diet to the average student wins. Attendees receive a copy of Gardening for Nutrition, Florida’s second in a series of school garden curriculum.
